"The circle is an endless creation, with endless connections to the present, all that went before and all that will come in the future....Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing, and always come back again to where they were.  The life of a person is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so it is in everything where power moves."

Who I Am-

I am a lover of faces, pure and fresh, which tell of innocence and hope, of wonder and awe, of a new life just beginning, seeing the world for the very first time.

I am a lover of faces, lined and wrinkled, which tell of experience and knowledge, of hardship and struggle, of joy and love, of a life well lived, with memories spanning decades.

I am a storyteller, and many stories come my way ready to be told through the eye of my camera and preserved in print for generations to come.

What I believe-

After photographing almost 3000 newborns, who in their newness are so pure, so perfect and so unique before being shaped by the world around them, I became reverent of life itself in a much deeper way.  I began watching the elders with the babies and thinking of how life transforms us throughout the years. As bodies and minds age we eventually return to a point of needing care to do the most simple daily tasks as when we were new.

I see such beauty in the wrinkles, such wisdom in the eyes, such strength in the spotted, arthritic hands, such love in the hearts, still beating strong. Theirs is a story in the final chapter, filled with vibrancy and life, no matter the paths they've taken. Their faces reflect the cumulative memories that began at birth while their bodies belie the years of agile youth once taken for granted.

Elders and Others-

Witness the cycle of life coming full circle through photographs.  Babies, in their innocence and newness; children in their energetic quest to grow up; parents, so busy in day-to-day activity they often miss the subtle but rapid changes; elders, with their wisdom and longevity; all are infinitely connected. Life is an amazing journey from birth to death, which in itself is both an end and a beginning. We begin aging the moment we are born. We are ever-changing, dynamic human beings. Photographs make us stop and take notice.

I encourage you to recognize the importance of printed photographs which provide a tangible, permanent record, a legacy to honor your elders in a format that can be passed on to future generations.

I would be honored to help you keep the connections alive.
